2nd INNOVATION MANAGEMENT SCHOOL


The 2nd “Innovation Management School” (IMS), organized by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) with support of ECLAC in Chile, is going to take place in Bonn from September 5th until September 23rd 2011. For 3 weeks around 20 professionals from different organizations in the field of innovations and technologies from Latin America and the Caribbean will exchange experiences about cooperation possibilities and strategies in the innovation sector.


The initial conference “Innovation by Cooperation” will be realized in Bonn from August 30th until September 1st 2011. Around 150 decision-makers from policy, economy and science will discuss successful innovation and cooperation strategies presenting best-practice examples from Latin America, the Caribbean, Germany and Europe.


The participants of the „Management School“, coming from ECLAC member countries in Latin America, are selected by their national ministries. They participate in a number of activities and workshops, exchanging experience concerning successful formulation and application for cooperation programs and promotion of innovation. At the end of the program the participants will have created an important network of like-minded professionals besides hav-ing gained insight into best practice ideas of the European innovation sector presented by German experts as also a general overview about different models and practices recently used in Latin America and the Caribbean.


The „Management School“ is a key instrument for cooperation promotion in the field of innovation between member countries, also providing the regional economies with a positive impact.
