Happy Birthday, ILT!
For 5 years, InWEnt has been offering institutions and enterprises in Africa, Asia and America a very special kind of personnel development: International Leadership Training. The programme completely satisfies the expectations that the name suggests.
International refers to the mixture of course participants. It comes as a surprise to many on their arrival in Germany that the ILT puts together exciting dialogues on worldwide relevant subjects from the variety of cultures and from the wide range of professional backgrounds of the participants.
Leadership is the objective – well over 1500 ILT graduates have achieved success on returning to their own organizations. They bring their expertise and management competencies up to a high level, and they take back with them many innovative ideas from Germany. In their luggage they also carry a strong ability to transfer their skills. This allows them to successfully initiate change processes that will be effective. A study that was recently carried out about the effect of ILT was already able to award some of the organizations who had chosen ILT as a capacity building tool the “Lighthouse” prize, even after only a short time. This means leadership for both the individual and the organization.
Training is the particularly attractive feature of ILT, as the practical implementation is always at the forefront. Each ILT course brings with it specialist updates and new knowledge. This means that ILT participants are well-prepared for their expedition into the real Germany, which involves several months spent in the everyday German working environment and professional experience in a German company or institution specially selected to support the individual advanced training objectives. This expedition intensively leads to the individual becoming their own person and towards deeper reflection, both of which are not unimportant as ILT success factors.
