Capacity Building for the ASEAN Secretariat

A successful regional endeavour requires trans-regional commitment, public awareness and internationally proficient personnel. Since its foundation in 1967, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations not only strives for a beneficial integration of the Member States but also seeks for a close dialogue with partner countries beyond its borders. The ASEAN Secretariat (ASEC) based in Jakarta serves as the liaison agency that facilitates and coordinates the collaboration between the stakeholders. A joint project supports the ASEC in institutional development and capacity building.
