Sustainable Urban Development
Local Agenda 21 in Practice
By means of advanced training for management staff, international dialogue, organizational and human resource development, as well as by establishing global knowledge networks, InWEnt contributes to capacity building for sustainable regional and urban development.
At the beginning of the 21st century, more people are living in cities than in rural areas. The continuous process of migration which contributes to growth rates of 3 to 4 per cent per year in urban population are the expression of an increasing regional polarization between rural and urban areas.
